Instruction is given one-on-one to individuals or small groups of three
to five people at the same level, through web cam, or at my studio in Cape Town, South Africa. Lessons are half hour or an hour, depending on the situation. One registers for a roughly 3 month period during which the basics & beyond are taught, thereafter, the option is to stay on for longer, during which time, we obviously progress to more advanced levels taking you through to jamming & performance. The method is through ear training, supported by chord diagrams & tablature charts, highlighting
the role of the guitar in different styles of music, progressing to more complex arrangements, from 12 bar blues, to blues scales, all the favorite rock riffs, lead breaks, various guitar voicings etc. Lessons are taught through songs & backup is supplied in mp3 format, or with cds, or flash drive.

Structure

The course is structured to take you from basic chords & right hand techniques, combining simple key groups, through the medium of song. Though there is a basic framework for the course, structure can be modified to suit the individual. Whether acoustic or electric guitar is your fancy ...

If you can already play some, but just cant figure out certain chords or riffs or lead parts, you can come in at your level and I'll guide you from there.
